Happy December folks! Day in and day out, I chat with our members and guests about lots of things. Lots! We have a good number of transplants and expats, trying to figure their way around our lovely city and beyond. Since I'm asked so often, I thought I'd put together a list of my favorite places & things...this one with the holidays in mind.
Enjoy! Happy Holidays!
ps Please note, this is not a sponsored post...other than my obvious romp favoritism.
For dine in or take away - DERU Market. Love those jam dots and focaccia rounds. And if you see fried chicken on the menu or in the deli case, get some!
Toys, toys, toys! Wee Tots
We get our holiday cards from here every year. Loving their easy party decor and wall art, too.
French style bakery perfection - Midori Bakery. They are also our go-to for birthday cakes.
Don't know what to give your friends with kids this holiday season? We love the gift of an experience. THE PERFECT GIFT.
Vintage & Antique everything - Haystack Antiques
Great coffee, Macrina Bakery yummies, an awesome (house made) breakfast sandwich and wifi - Cafe Cesura.
Our beautiful, handmade serving platters and bowls are from Terra Bella. (They can even go in the oven!)
LOVE this panettone. Pasta & Co in Bellevue also carries it, if you want instant gratification. We get it every year.
A few more reasons to head into Seattle - The Pantry at Delancey (pop by Honore Bakery around the corner), Book Larder, and Greenwood Space Travel Supply Co (drop by Neptune Coffee across the street).
Favorite slow cooker. This helps ensure we have a yummy, homemade meal more often than not.
Do you know about Melrose Market? Go. Favorite cheese shop. Beautiful flowers. Don't forget to look up - unique gifts & accessories. An awesome butcher shop. Best sandwiches - now with an outpost in Kirkland, too. And the home of Sitka & Spruce.
Just bought a bunch of these for our little one. Great for those advent calendars & stockings. And pretty enough for mommy, too.
Go see Akiko at Still Spa at the Woodmark Hotel to get your nails holiday ready. She is THE best.
Beautiful hostess gift.
Guests in town and they want to go to Pike Place Market? Be sure to do brunch at Cafe Campagne, an oldie but a goodie. The next best thing for yummy French bistro fare if you can't hop a flight to eat at Balthazar.
