Welcome to nourishME! LLC and the Healthy Hands Cooking program!  I am your local resource for kids healthful cooking classes, birthday parties, private parties, after-school programs, school break & summer break camps, and cooking demonstrations.

I’m board certified in holistic nutrition and a certified Healthy Hands Cooking instructor. Helping children and families establish nutritious eating habits has been the most rewarding job I’ve ever had and I’ve now pledged to make it my life’s work. My goal is to empower your children by engaging and inspiring them to make healthful decisions when it comes to how they fuel their growing bodies. 

After spending almost a decade as a landscape designer and project manager, I left the field of horticulture to nurture my ever-growing love for wholesome foods. A few years later I became board certified in holistic nutrition and haven’t looked back. Since then, I’ve helped many families develop and maintain healthful eating habits. Through this period of growth, I quickly realized that I wanted to focus on childhood nutrition with the hope of reaching as many children as possible. 

In my classes, your children will learn basic cooking skills, the importance of good nutrition, and taste a wide variety of foods in a creative, fun, and supportive environment. Mounting evidence shows that children who have nutritious eating behaviors modeled for them are more likely to maintain a healthful lifestyle throughout their lives. I want to see every child reach their fullest potential while ensuring that their diet and lack of basic cooking skills are not limiting factors. It would be an honor to help the creative chef in your child bloom.

TASTERS IN TRAINING

2-3 YO, MOMMY + ME

WEDNESDAYS, SEP 27 - NOV 29 (NO CLASS NOV 22) // 9 WEEKS

9:30-10:30 // 60 MINUTES

You and your tiny taster, ages 2-3, are invited to discover the bounty of the fall harvest in this food exploration and cooking class. In our 9-week program, your child will get to explore a variety of healthful foods with all their senses, while learning so many important lessons from the kitchen. Each child will have a chance to work with the target food each week and create a delicious recipe with it. 

Research demonstrates that eating habits are established during these formative years and so adults will learn how to model healthful eating behaviors and learn how to create a positive family food attitude.

CORE COOKING & MYSTERY BOX CLASS

5-10 YO

WEDNESDAYS, SEP 27 - NOV 29 (NO CLASS NOV 22) // 9 WEEKS

1:30-3:00 // 90 MINUTES

This is a fantastic 9-week program that will lay the foundation for healthful eating by educating and empowering students, ages 5-10.  Your child will become familiar with common kitchen appliances, basic kitchen safety, creating a balanced plate, and learning how to be more self-sufficient in the kitchen.

A portion of each class is dedicated to nutrition education, including games and activities.  The remaining time is dedicated to cooking and cleanup.  Our last class will put everything the children have learned to the test as they team up and get creative in our super fun Mystery Box Challenge class!

Class 1 & 2:  Healthful Snacks

Class 3 & 4: Breakfast

Class 5 & 6: Lunches
